Dr. Meesun Rachel Sim completed her undergraduate education from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. She earned her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma,College of Medicine in 2005. She completed her internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, in 2008. She became Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2008.
After completing her residency, Dr. Sim worked for Harvard Faculty Physicians Group as an internal medicine hospitalist doctor who admits patients with acute illness and diagnoses, treats and discharges once the patients recover from their acute illness. Because of her family, she relocated to Texas and practiced internal medicine at various hospitals and a clinic in Denton including Denton Regional Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Integrity Transitional Hospital, University of Behavioral Health and Family Healthcare of Denton.
Dr.Sim opened her internal medicine practice inside of Plano Family Medicine in December 2014. Then, she relocated her practice to her current location on Preston Road to be on her own in September 2018. In her spare time, Dr. Sim enjoys spending time with his husband, John and her family. She speaks English and Korean fluently. She went to Cambodia for a medical mission and hopes to go on more medical mission trips in the future.
